Characteristics of Isostatic Pressing Process

Categories: Cold isostatic pressing mold

Application: Characteristics of Isostatic Pressing Process

Inquiry

Main description:

The isostatic pressing process is to place the product in a closed container filled with liquid, and by applying equal pressure to each surface, in a high-pressure environment, the density of the product is increased and the desired shape is obtained. With the advancement of science and technology, isostatic presses are more and more widely used in the molding of high temperature refractory materials, ceramics, cemented carbide, rare earth permanent magnets, carbon materials, and rare metal powders.

DESCRIPTION

Isostatic pressing process:

The isostatic pressing process is to place the product in a closed container filled with liquid, and by applying equal pressure to each surface, in a high-pressure environment, the density of the product is increased and the desired shape is obtained. With the advancement of science and technology, isostatic presses are more and more widely used in the molding of high temperature refractory materials, ceramics, cemented carbide, rare earth permanent magnets, carbon materials, and rare metal powders.

Characteristics of isostatic pressing process:

1. Using isostatic pressing to machine the blank, the density of the blank is high and uniform, the firing shrinkage is small, and it is not easy to deform.

2. It can form slender rod-shaped or tubular green compacts that are difficult to prepare by conventional mass-pressing process.

3. The product has high strength and good machinability, which can greatly reduce the internal stress.

4. The mold is easy to make, has long service life and relatively low cost.

5. It can form large-sized blanks, and each cylinder can press multiple blanks.
