First put the prepared blank into an elastic mold made of plastic or rubber, put it in a high-pressure container, seal it and inject it into a high-pressure liquid medium.

 

The pressure is transmitted to the elastic mold to pressurize the blank, and then the pressure is released to take out the mold, and the formed blank is taken out from the mold, the liquid medium can be water, oil or glycerin.

 

However, it is advisable to use a medium with low compressibility, such as brake fluid or anhydrous glycerin. The elastic mold material should be rubber or similar plastics with good elasticity and good oil resistance.

It can form complex, large and thin and long products that cannot be produced by ordinary methods, and the high quality of the forming can increase the forming pressure without increasing the difficulty of operation, and the pressure effect is better than other dry pressing methods.

 

 

Because the green body is under uniform pressure in all directions, its density is high and uniform, and its firing shrinkage is small, so it is not easy to deform. The mold is easy to make, long in use, and low in cost. It can use less or no binder.
